What's on every bride's mind (you know it is!)

The 10 steps every bride should know f0r using the bathroom properly on her wedding day:

#1 - Take AT LEAST one other girl with you, if not two. But two is much better than one.

#2 - Enter the stall but don't turn around. Have the girls enter behind you (yes, this requires leaving the door open), but don't worry, you've got so much dress no one will see anything!

# 3 - Have the girl(s) hold up the back of your dress.

#4 - Go under the front of your dress and grab your shorts/panties/undies or whatever you've got on under there.

#5 - You will probably need them completely off.

# 6 - Sit backwards on the toilet - seriously, face the wall. It's the easiest way since your girl(s) are holding the back of your dress. You should be holding the front of your dress up.

#7 - Get someone to hand you some paper.

#8 - Stand and put that caboose in reverse while the girl(s) are still holding the back up.

#9 - Grab your shorts/panties/undies and dress yourself. This is probably the hardest part - you may need to put a leg up on the seat to get some leverage.

#10 - When you're ready, let your girl(s) know they can drop your dress, but don't let them leave just yet.

Once you're out of the stall, have them fluff the dress and go have fun!

For the Budget Brides

Nowadays, so many lovely brides (myself included) are all about saving money when it comes to planning their weddings. And why shouldn't we be?! With all the great DIY project ideas, websites like Etsy, and the ability to search for the best deals online, it's hard not to be a thrifty bride!

In my quest for saving money on my wedding, I was made aware of a couple great websites:

http://bravobride.com/

http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/

In addition to stalking Knottie bios for sale items, I've started checking these two websites for wedding day must-haves.

Best Marriage Advice Received

I stumbled across an article online today and wanted to share some of the advice in it. They are definitely words to live by.

"... it was that I should love my husband, but not wrap myself up in my husband. That I should always remember that I was a person before him, and I should do my damndest to stay a person while married to him ... second best advice was to never completely tie your finances to your husband--always have something of your own."

"My dad told me 'try to outdo each other in kindness.' I thought that was good advice. That way you are concentrating on the positive."

"Communicate, respect for self and each other, trust, faith, laugh together not at each other, don’t go to bed angry or hurt, remember your vows, don’t ask what you are not ready and willing to accept, and let go and remember that often time we don’t know we’re making a mistake unless we are told so speak up without being rude and hurtful."

"...Marriage should not be so much about looking at each other but looking in the same direction together.' I believe the message from this is to remember the positive things that brought you together and then to concentrate on positive goals to achieve as a couple. My observation is that all the cute, unique things that made your spouse wonderful in the beginning are going to be the things that grate on your nerves later. Try to focus on the positive -- if you look for negative qualities in someone, you are sure to find them!"

"...Marriage is not always 50/50. Some days you will wake up and may have to give 90% and your spouse will give 10%. Other days you may wake up and give 25% and your husband will have to put in the 75%."

Remember to love yourself...and each other.
